Coupe de la jeunesse: 1x Zilver

My first international race in the Belgian tricolor took place in my own country, Hazewinkel. It took place from 29th until 30th July.

It was in our advantage to row in our own country, we knew the course and there were a lot of fans.

Saturdaymorning started good with a qualification for the A-final of the afternoon. In the afternoon we ended in a dissapointing fourth position.

On sunday we had to make a sportive revenge, we could qualify again for the A-final. But in the afternoon we rowed a very exciting race. We were in fifth position after 1000m, but we did everything to get a medal this time. We started our last acceleration towards the finish at the last 750m. This early acceleration we were able to take the second place and a silver medal. Our first international race was very succesfull en we ended it with a beautiful silver medal.
