Trials National Team 2021

On the 6th and 7th of March the national trials took place in Hazewinkel.

Program:

SATURDAY:
AM: time trial in the single
PM: Final in the single

SUNDAY:
AM: Final 1 in double (Marlon Colpaert)
PM: Final 2 in double (Marlon Colpaert)

I was the fastest in the lightweight single against the clock during the time trials. Also in the afternoon I won with a 10sec gap between my teammate and I.

This result secured my place as the spare for the Olympic lighweight double of Brys & Van Zandweghe.

In the double we finished 3rd behind Brys & Van Zandweghe (1st) and Claeys & Deloof (2nd). In the afternoon we were second behind Brys & Van Zandweghe again. After all, this weekend was more than succesfull.

These trials resulted in a selection in the lightweight double with Marlon Colpaert for: International regatta Piediluco, World Cup II and the World Rowing U23 Championships.
