Worldcup III: Silver!
From June 8 to 10, the third World Cup took place in Lucerne, Switzerland. Also known for the Lake of the Gods, the most beautiful and fairest rowing course in the world.
I competed in the lightweight single again, Friday morning with a first place in the heats I was able to qualify directly for the semi-finals. The semifinals continued on Saturday, I was able to get a first place again. Good for a place in the A final in the afternoon. Around 15:45 the A final started. It was a very exciting race with the fastest time in the final sprint, but just not enough to beat the unbeatable Irishman O'Donovan. So it was a nice second place, behind the vice and olympic champion of the light double.
